Social Meeting Talk next Tuesday November 18 at 7 pm in St. Edward’s social hall.
Exploring Everyday Life during the Battles of Saratoga
presented by Anne Clothier
Assistant to the Saratoga County Historian
Join us as we explore the lives of a variety of individuals who experienced the Battles of Saratoga.  Learn about what brought them to the Saratoga District (as Saratoga County was then called), their experiences while here, and their fates after the battles.

Based on personal accounts written by those who witnessed the Turning Point of the American Revolution, this program offers a glimpse into the mundane details of daily life and the history-changing actions of farmers, laborers, teamsters, tradesmen, and others who answered the call to serve.

We’ll also learn about some of the local residents who saw this military campaign roll through their communities and farms.  Participants will also learn about opportunities to continue exploring history at upcoming events with Saratoga 250 and other local historical organizations.

Did you know that the St. Edward’s Knights of Columbus has a YouTube channel?  https://www.youtube.com/@stedwardskofc   There you will find over 25 videos taken in the last seven years on many of the Knight’s activities:  parish picnic, social meetings talks, breakfasts, dinners, and more.   New or propsective Knights may especially want to sample some short videos to see what activities interest them.  When in YouTube, simply search for ‘stedwardskofc’.

The procession lead out of the church grounds and into the surrounding Clifton Knolls neighborhood.

The Knights organized and participated in this eucharistic procession.   It is estimated that about 250 parishoners participated in the 1.5 mile walk that returned to the church to  enjoy a hamburger/hot dog barbeque afterwards, also organized and staffed by the Knights.

Chicken BBQ this Thursday!

Knights of Columbus Chicken BBQ  The Knights of Columbus of St. Edward the Confessor church in Clifton Park and Rollin’ Smoke will be holding a chicken barbeque drive-through take-out dinner on Thursday, June 6, from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.  The church is located at 569 Clifton Park Center Road in Clifton Park, NY 12065.  The drive-through-take-out meal will include 1/2 chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, and cornbread.  Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance.

New Social Meeting – Sunday June 9 in the church

The Knight’s of Columbus of St. Edward’s Parish invite you to a Social Event on Sunday June 9th at 12:30 PM at the church.  The church is located at 569 Clifton Park Center Road in Clifton Park, NY 12065.  Our guest speaker is Fr. Pat Butler and he will talk about the church’s beautiful stained glass windows. Light refreshments will follow after the presentation.

Fish Fry will be served Wednesday, February 14th from 12:00 noon to 6:30 pm.  Our Fish Fry dinner includes: Fried Fish, French Fries, Mac ‘n Cheese, cookies and bottled water.  The price will be $10 per person, $5 for children ages 6-12. Kids 5 years and under are Free.  (Free Kids meals do not include fish.) The location is St Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065.  Take-out is available.
