Campaign for Abortion Free Cities

Title: The Campaign for Abortion Free Cities

Kate Carney, The Campaign for Abortion Free Cities Manager, will discuss this nationwide initiative which aims to reduce abortions by making them both unavailable and unthinkable. (short version)

The Knights of Columbus council of St. Edward the Confessor church in Clifton Park will hold a Social Night event on Tuesday April 22nd from 7 – 8  pm in the church social hall. Kate Carney, The Campaign for Abortion Free Cities Manager, will discuss this nationwide initiative. The Campaign for Abortion Free Cities aims to reduce abortions by making them both unavailable and unthinkable. They achieve this by working with local leaders to implement a four-pronged strategy: promoting pregnancy resources, exposing the abortion industry, changing public opinion, and enacting pro-life legislation. Their approach is adaptable to any city, regardless of its current stance on abortion. The campaign’s activities include community outreach, door-to-door ministry, sidewalk counseling, and connecting individuals with resources.

Advanced Care Planning

Date: Tuesday March 11, 2025 (7:00pm – 9:00pm)

Location: St. Edward the Confessor Church 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park NY

Title: Preparing for the “What Ifs”

Description: Although no one can predict with certainty the “What Ifs” in our future, what we do have is the ability to discuss, make decisions and share our choices about the type of care we would or would not want to receive if we were unable to speak for ourselves. These are extremely personal and some of the most critical decisions that we may ever have to make during our lifetime, and this is not an easy task. The Advance Care Planning Process is one of the most valuable tools we have to help us in “Preparing for the What If’s.” The goal of this presentation is to provide essential information that will help us understand and most importantly engage in the Advance Care Planning Process. Sharing your wishes is truly a gift of love for those you love.

Chiropractic Care: Unlocking Health Benefits Beyond the Spine

Date: February 11, 2025 @ 7:00pm
Title: Chiropractic Care: Unlocking Health Benefits Beyond the Spine
Presenter: Dr. Wesley Cotton; Vitality Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care is often associated with treating neck and back pain, but its
benefits extend beyond the spine alone. When a chiropractor focuses on the nervous
system, we can improve communication between the brain and body. This can lead to
enhanced overall wellness, including better digestion, improved immune function,
reduced stress, and increased energy. By addressing misalignments and promoting
proper nerve function, chiropractic care supports the body’s natural ability to heal,
optimize performance, and maintain balance.
