Once again Council #110664 cooked for the Ronald McDonald house. Six brothers from our council went down to Ronald McDonald House and prepared dinner for 40 to 50 guests and residents. Chicken Parm with all the trimmings. This was our 5 consecutive year of proving a meal. It was greatly appreciated by guests and staff.
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day Brothers. Our dinner last night, coordinated by Brother Dave, went quite well with over 225 meals served. A good time was had by all, Beth and her team did a great job decorating the social hall and we estimate ~ $700 in profits for our charities. Thanks to all. WGK John
The Knights assisted the Youth Ministry today in holding the annual St. Nicholas breakfast after all the Sunday Masses. Served over 250 people. Here is a link to a short movie made earlier today at the breakfast:
The Knights 2018 Soccer Challenge awards were made just before the December meeting. Parents and several brother members were in attendance. Grand Knight John Ward made awards to the five winners attending, with the remaining three to be made at a later date. The awards consisted of an engraved plaque and a regulation Knights of Columbus soccer ball.
The Knights hosted their annual pancake breakfast at St. Edward’s social hall on Sunday October 28, 2018. Proceeds go to benefit Hannah’s Hope Fund and Choices for Growth, LLC (Domestic Violence Prevention & Community Support). A short 30 sec. video of the event is posted on the Knights’ facebook page. Just ‘Google’ to ‘KofC 11064 facebook’.
On Saturday, September 22, the Saint Edwards Knights of Columbus Council held a penalty kick soccer competition to determine our region’s representatives. Forty-three boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14 kicked over 600 penalty kicks! In the end, we were able to select 6 boys and 4 girls to represent Saint Edwards at the state level at West Point in early November. Well done to all the participants and congratulations to those who will be advancing! — Grand Knight John Ward
On Sunday July 15th, 2018, five brothers from our council visited and
cooked dinner for the residents of Ronald McDonald House in Albany. Residents
and staff were very appreciative and enjoyed a home cooked ham dinner.
